Started dancing at age 3! She literally grew up in a dance studio.
Trained in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, modern, and belly dance (both fusion and cabaret styles).
Was a member of the acclaimed Akron, Ohio youth ballet company CVYB where she danced in Peter Pan and the Nutcracker.
At age 12 she won a scholarship based on ability to the University of Akron’s youth dance program.
Attended The Miller South School for the Performing Arts dance program.
Started performing as a professional belly dancer in Cleveland, Ohio restaurants at age 12.
Began teaching at Dance du Soleil studio in Columbus, Ohio at age 18.
Was selected to perform in the highly acclaimed dance company, Bellydance Evolution in their presentation of Alice in Wonderland.
Toured with Bellydance Evolution throughout the Midwest USA for a season.
Became a professional cheerleader for the Atlanta Blaze.
Became an instructor at Purebarre and taught there for a year.
Has won numerous awards for dance in multiple styles throughout her career.
Appeared as a featured performer at many shows within the belly dance community, including the Las Vegas Bellydance Convention.
Actively contributed to the creation of both choreography and curriculum for Dance du Soleil studio since the company began.
Babette continues to study, perform, and teach dance today. Notably, in 2024 she was asked to help design and teach the new kids’ dance program at Atlanta Fusion Dance.
